Hello
I'm Jaclyn Kahrs, LCSW, and I understand that life can have its share of difficult and painful moments. I'm passionate about helping you navigate those times, find healing, and rediscover what brings you joy.
I believe that growth and long-term change are possible, whether you're struggling with depression and anxiety or seeking deeper self-understanding. I would be honored to join you on that journey. I recognize that starting therapy is a courageous step, and I'm committed to creating a space where you feel seen, validated, and empowered to move toward what truly matters to you.
My Story
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I've had the privilege of working with individuals in diverse settings, including my experience as a therapist at the Utah State Prison. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master's in Social Work, both from Brigham Young University. My clinical focus includes substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, shame and guilt, and relationship issues. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Attachment theory.
When I'm not in the office, I enjoy playing fetch, going on walks, and teaching tricks to my dog. I love hiking and exploring new areas of Utah, especially when it involves finding the best nachos afterward! For a more relaxed pace, I also enjoy watching Jeopardy! while working on creative projects with my Cricut.
