Hello
I'm Emily Pressler, MSW, and I'm passionate about supporting children and teenagers as they navigate their unique challenges.
I received my Bachelor's in Family Studies and Human Development from Brigham Young University in December 2021 and am now working toward completing my Master's in Social Work through the University of Memphis. My experience includes working with toddlers with autism and other developmental delays during my undergraduate studies, and I'm continuing to focus on children in my graduate work.
My Story
I work with children and teenagers, incorporating play therapy with all of my clients. I've helped children of all ages work through anxiety, depression, attachment struggles, and the effects of severe trauma and abuse. I've received training in several play therapy modalities, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, and Theraplay. I plan to pursue licensure as a play therapist after graduation.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking or relaxing indoors with a good romance novel.
I am supervised by Jenivee Akalis, LCSW (7957629-3501).
