Hello
I'm Celeste West, LMFT, RPT™, and I believe in the power of play and creativity to facilitate healing and growth for both children and adults.
Whether we use sand tray, board games, drawing, or finger paint, I love incorporating creative methods to help individuals connect with their emotions and find a path toward well-being.
My Story
Play is the language of children, and toys are their words. I provide a safe, judgment-free playroom where children can process their experiences and feelings. I strive to build a healing and meaningful therapeutic relationship that helps them unlock their potential and boost their self-esteem. As a certified Firstplay Kinesthetic Practitioner, I'm trained to work with children as young as 18 months old. I'm also trained in various other play therapy modalities, including Child-Centered Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, and I'm certified in TF-CBT, a specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for trauma. Beyond play therapy, I work with adults using Internal Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Family Life from Brigham Young University and my Master's of Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College, where I also completed a play therapy track. As a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist™, I have experience treating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, and behavioral problems.
In my free time, I enjoy drawing, playing the piano, dancing, exploring with my husband, and experimenting (sometimes failing!) in the kitchen. I love animals and dream of one day having my own petting zoo.
